Emily Fraser


PERINATAL PSYCHOLOGIST (she/her)

Emily is a warm and nurturing psychologist with a special interest in perinatal mental health. She provides support to women and partners throughout the entire perinatal and early parenting journey, including those undergoing fertility treatment and families who have experienced perinatal loss. 

Emily understands the challenges that can arise when trying to grow and raise family, and therefore provides a supportive and safe place for expectant and new parents to navigate through the life-changing journey of becoming parents.

She brings a flexible approach to evidence-based practice by drawing on various therapy modalities such as CBT, EMDR, ACT and circle of security strategies. Emily has also completed specialist training in Perinatal Mental Health and the Becoming Us Model.

In addition to her perinatal work, Emily is a Principal Master Instructor of Mental Health First Aid - a specialised training program focused on how to prevent, identify and respond proactively to mental health concerns.

Dr Shanna Logan


CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (she/her)

Shanna is a clinical psychologist dedicated to perinatal mental health. She takes a warm and engaging approach to assist families to navigate the difficulties that can arise throughout the fertility and parenting journey.

Shanna draws on therapy modalities that are person centred and emotion focused. She is trained in specialised therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), schema focused therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and circle of security parenting (COSP) program strategies. Shanna also offers couple therapy using emotionally focused therapy (EFT).

She has completed specialist training in Perinatal Mental Health with the Perinatal Training Centre. Shanna is also a trained COSP Program facilitator, is authorised to deliver non-directive pregnancy counselling, and is an AHPRA board approved supervisor.

Alison Brown


Alison Brown Mental Health Occupational Therapist at Newcastle Perinatal Place

PERINATAL & INFANT MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN (she/her)

Alison is a gentle and compassionate clinician with a special interest in supporting mothers, fathers and babies during the perinatal period. She provides a warm and connecting space for women and their families to feel safe, heard, held, and empowered.

Alison works collaboratively with soon-to-be parents, new parents, and parents with mental health concerns to strengthen their relationships with their infants, build their parenting confidence and manage the challenges of parenting. She offers in-clinic, telehealth and home-visits to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.

Alison is an endorsed mental health occupational therapist and has over 10 years’ experience working in the public mental health sector. She utilises evidence-based therapies from an attachment-based and trauma-informed approach to support the needs of clients. She has also completed specialist training in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health with the Perinatal Training Centre, and is a trained Circle of Security Parenting program facilitator.

Jade is our skilled and approachable force behind the scenes who keeps everything running smoothly. As our dedicated admin, he helps manage bookings, reminders, paperwork, and general enquiries, always with care, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of allied health.

If you’ve received a helpful email, a timely follow-up, or had someone go the extra mile to make things easier, chances are, it was Jade. His goal is to ensure every part of your experience feels organised, respectful, and stress-free.

Although Jade isn’t based in our practice, he’s an essential part of our team, working remotely from beautiful Tasmania. Whether you need help with finding the right clinician, making bookings, paperwork, or general admin support, Jade is just a call or email away.
