Becoming Us
Becoming Us™ is a relationship-focused parenting program supporting couples from pregnancy through to the early parenting years, helping you stay connected, understood, and resilient during one of life’s biggest transitions.
Babies bring so much love, joy, and wonder — and becoming a parent also brings profound change.
No One Really Prepares You for This Part
The transition to parenthood often brings:
Deep fatigue from sleep disruption and the physical recovery of pregnancy and birth
Shifts in roles, identity, values, and priorities as you adjust to becoming parents
A growing mental load and increased emotional labour
Less time and space for couple connection and intimacy
Greater vulnerability to anxiety, low mood, and relationship strain
Becoming Us™ gently normalises these experiences while offering practical, compassionate tools to help couples navigate this season side by side — with greater understanding, connection, and teamwork.

Each group runs over two sessions (2 hours each) and is held at Newcastle Perinatal Place.
